Basic Tips For Your Bulldog
|
Bulldogs are a special breed that have some special needs. We put together a few tips to help you and your bully get along.
When you purchase a new puppy, make sure to get the proper papers from your breeder. Registration, pedigree, and a record of immunization are all necessary and vital information.
Coming to a new home can be a somewhat shocking experience. Be sure to try and maintain the same feeding schedule as your breeder. Feed your puppy in the same place at the same times. Try to use the same feed as your breeder to help maintain a consistent diet. After some time you can begin to slowly substitute another brand of food if you feel it necessary.
Making a home for your new bully is very important. We recommend purchasing a wire crate for your new bully to sleep in. This crate will provide a secure home for your puppy and when you need to be on the road with your bully his home can travel with you so he remains secure and comfortable. A wire crate comes in quite handy when house training your new puppy. A puppy pen can be very nice to give your puppy room to roam and play.
A few other items that come in very handy to keep in your medicine cabinet. Vaseline for his nose and eye wrinkles. Panalog ointment is a good all purpose treatment for minor skin irritations.
