Again let me welcome you to Country Bulls Kennel.
We are located in Southwest Missouri, just north of Springfield.
Ten years ago my daughter Tonna and I decided that we wanted a Mother-Daughter project. We decided that we wanted to try our hand at raising Bulldog puppies. Tonna's husband Bruce is a veterinarian and we knew he would be a tremendous help to us so we jumped right in. We had no intentions of showing, just raising a few puppies. We had no idea that this decision would ultimately change our whole family's life.
After attending our first dog show in Sedalia Missouri on a hot 4th of July weekend we purchased our first male on the way home. Dean had already looked at him and after the show he knew he had found a good one. I thought Dean had been out in the heat too long but he was insistant that we go by on our way home and buy him. His name was Atwood's Ozark Buddy and true to his word a few months later Dean changed Buddy's name to "Champion Atwood's Ozark Buddy". He also became the buddy of our life.
We still love raising puppies and we are addicted to the dog shows. Our whole family is now involved one way or another with the Bulldogs. What started as a Mother-Daughter project has turned into a way of life for us. The most valuable and rewarding thing that has come from having Bulldogs are the wonderful friends we have made throughout the years. Not only friends from the dog shows but friends who have taken our puppies home with them to be loving companions.
